Question 2

How do the modern speed dating events work?

Accepted Answer

Fun, simple, and easy!
Agenda: 30 minutes of mingling, then enjoy 8-12 speed dating rounds (6-7 minutes each) with a break midway. We make it easy to connect with each date. Stick around after the event to chat more if you'd like.
Pairing: We use advanced matchmaking technology to pair you based on a quick pre-event questionnaire. The tech will also help you navigate the event and send likes.
Getting Your Matches: Mutual matches are notified 1-2 hours after the event, so you can keep the convo going.

Question 3

How do singles and friendship mixers/socials work?

Each mixer may have a different theme or activity. You will meet new people in a low-pressure setting, with games, interactive activities, and conversation prompts to make it easy to make connections. 
Using our matchmaking tech, you can check your compatibility score with everyone in the room and send “likes” throughout the event—mutual matches are sent out just hours later.

Question 4

How do I get into your events? They’re always sold out!

A lot of our events go very fast - sometimes up to a month in advance. If you see a spot available, don't wait!

Question 5

Is it going to be all guys/ all ladies?

Accepted Answer

Definitely not! We care deeply about our guests' experiences and that includes ensuring a balanced ratio by age and gender for our hetero events, so that you have the best chance of finding a match. We sell tickets 50/50 men/women and almost always reach that ratio exactly as most of our events sell out. Don't forget that this is also a great opportunity to meet other single friends, not just dates!

What is the tardiness/ refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Can't make it anymore? Contact us at least 7 days in advance for a refund or ticket transfer—we use this policy to keep our events balanced from a ratio perspective. You can also send a friend in your place!

Running late? We can generally accommodate if you are a little bit late; however, you may miss a few rounds, and it can complicate things a bit on our end.

Question 7

An event I want to attend is sold out (or my age range/gender is sold out). Is there a waitlist?

Yes! We do have a waitlist here. The waitlist is only utilized if an event is sold out and a spot opens up. If a ticket in your age range becomes available, we’ll reach out in the order submissions were received.

Question 8

I’m not in the age range for the event. Can I still buy a ticket?

Accepted Answer

If you’re more than 1-2 years outside the range for the event, we ask that you please hold off for an event that is a better fit. Guests sign up expecting to meet people in the listed range, and we want to honor that.

For age-specific tickets, please don’t grab one outside your group if it’s sold out—we curate our ratios very carefully, so everyone gets the best possible experience. At speed dating, you won't be restricted to only meeting people in the ticket age range - you’ll be able to set your preferred age range so that your mini dates the most compatible for you!

Why don't you do any events for [insert demographic]?

Long answer short, we’d love to! We have a passion for creating spaces and events where all types of people can make new connections.

Currently, most attendees/ people interested in attending are between 21-45 and searching for hetero matches, so that’s where you'll see the most events. We have LGBTQ+ events and events for people over 45 as much as we can!

We analyze closely to understand demand, because we of course can’t host a successful event if not enough people show up. If you haven’t already, you can log your interest or join our 40+ men's waiting list — that way, you’ll be the first to know when we have enough people to launch something that you feel is a great fit for you. And if you know others in your community or age range who might be interested, feel free to send them the interest form!

What should I wear?

Each event may have a slightly different agenda and venue, but always wear something that you feel confident and comfortable in. Wear something that you feel will make a great first impression! Cute but casual first date attire encouraged.

What do I need to bring?

Your ID. You may need your license or another form of ID to enter the venue and for check-in.
A charged phone. Most events utilize a web-based app that you will use on your phone’s browser.
You and a smile. It’s most important that you bring the best version of yourself!
